Brad Pitt is out, and Marilyn Monroe is in.

Monroe will star in upcoming print and TV ads, rolling out this fall, for the Chanel No. 5 fragrance.
The blonde bombshell has been busier than ever, even though it’s been 51 years since she’s been alive.

One of the ads will feature Marilyn in her heyday, posing with a bottle of Chanel No. 5 nestled in her cleavage in an archival photograph by Ed Feingersh (shown).

Chanel recently discovered a recording of a 1960 interview, where Monroe was speaking to Georges Belmont, then editor-in-chief of Marie Claire magazine:

“What do you wear to bed ? A pajama top ? The bottoms of the pajamas? A nightgown?” So I said, “CHANEL No.5,” because it’s the truth… And yet, I don’t want to say “nude”. But it’s the truth !,’ Monroe said of the fragrance.
